LA BELLE VUE DES ANGES

La Belle Vue des Anges is perched above Villefranche, one of the prettiest ports on the Mediterranean. With stunning views over the Bay of Villefranche from the front, the Baie des Anges from the back and a panoramic view of the Alps and the beautiful red tile Provençal rooftops from the sides, the apartment is located above a small town (pop. 7,000) and is only a five-minute drive to Nice. The beaches are a five-minute drive away as well, and all the beauty and treasures of life on the Côte d'Azur are easily accessible. The Moyenne Corniche, which is only a two-minute walk downhill from the apartment, has a grocery store, two bakeries, green grocer, butcher, fish market, pharmacy, post office, dry cleaner, bank gas station and city bus stop. There is a train station in Villefranche and a taxi stand just outside on the street.

This beautiful, modern apartment with its lovely views is actually the entire second story of a two-story villa. The apartment comprises three bedrooms, one having a king-sized bed, the second a queen-sized bed and the third two twin beds. The master bedroom has an ensuite bath with shower and sink, but no tub or WC; the second and third bedrooms share a full bath with tub, shower stall, double vanity and WC on the hallway. The second bedroom also has a vanity sink with mirror and electrical outlets. There is a separate WC on the hallway.

A twenty-two foot wide terrace (440 square feet) is accessed from the spacious living-dining room area through sliding glass doors. The terrace, fully furnished for outdoor dining and relaxation, looks directly onto the Bay of Villefranche. The views are panoramic and include the sea, the mountains and the town. A table for six, several chaise longues and a charcoal barbecue mean that guests can pass many hours absorbing the views.

Both the living room and dining room have ceramic tile floors, and there is a television with satellite reception, including CNN and BBC and a multi-zone VCR. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and has a high-speed Internet connection.

The kitchen is completely modern and has a microwave, as well as a conventional oven, dishwasher and coffee maker. There is a washing machine and iron in a separate laundry room. The entrance into the apartment is private and is accessed by 32 steps on the outside of the villa that wind up through the lush garden from the parking area. Automatic gates offer the only entrance into the spacious parking area. The English-speaking owner lives in the apartment below and will welcome you, give you the key and be available during your stay if any problems should arise.

A hair dryer and beach towels are provided, a crib is also available for any guests staying with small children.
